This position is designed to be fully remote, providing you with flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to our outpatient office and its team. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to accurately gauge patients' trauma histories, leading to tailored and effective treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and promote overall healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that our patients receive integrated and comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they feel safe and supported.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at MedSphere Counseling Inc., you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma. This population includes survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, military veterans, and those coping with the enduring effects of significant life stressors. The focus of your work will be on helping these clients navigate their complex emotional landscapes while equipping them with practical tools for recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating knowledge and expertise in trauma-informed care.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, alongside proficiency in trauma-focused therapy techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• A calm and composed approach to handling high-stress situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to effectively manage computer applications used in patient care.

Preferred Experience\n
