Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to address diverse client needs.

• Providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on evidence-based practices to enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including participating in case consultations and care coordination.

• Engaging in continuous professional development and attending workshops to stay updated on the latest trends and research in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will focus on serving a diverse patient population. At Embers Counseling Center, our clients range from adolescents to older adults, with a spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Your role will involve developing strong therapeutic relationships with clients and utilizing culturally sensitive approaches that cater to their unique backgrounds and needs.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Possess an active and unrestricted LCPC license in the state of Illinois.

• Have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical counseling environment.

• Exhibit a strong understanding of legal and ethical standards surrounding mental health practice.

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Show proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other related technologies.
