Work Environment\n

Working from our state-of-the-art remote hospice center in Sparks, Nevada, this role allows for a supportive yet independent work setup. The therapist will primarily engage with clients through teletherapy sessions, facilitating treatment from the comfort and safety of their own home, while also adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history, needs, and treatment suitability.

• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that address unique recovery goals and promote resilience.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the specific challenges faced by each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their trauma and crafting coping strategies tailored to their circumstances.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, providing integrated and holistic care that aligns with our commitment to trauma-informed practice.

• Provide crisis intervention services to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and effective management of high-stress situations.

• Engage patients and their families in educational discussions about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient records, in compliance with legal and ethical standards as mandated by state regulations.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy through ongoing professional development.

The target population for this role includes individuals affected by a variety of trauma-related disorders, especially those who have experienced PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care.
