Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess the emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs of clients.

• Develop and document individualized treatment plans tailored to the requirements of each client, ensuring a structured approach to therapy.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to address emerging challenges or changes in their condition.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including social workers, psychiatrists, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance treatment efficacy.

• Engage with families and caregivers to provide support and guidance in managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health conditions. Our clients range from adolescents to adults, all seeking meaningful support in their mental health journeys. Your role contributes immensely to improving their quality of life through personalized, empathetic, and effective counseling services.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A successful passing score in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening and clear client engagement.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in a clinical or community setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Experience addressing co-occurring disorders and knowledge of substance use issues linked to mental health challenges.

• Knowledge of best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
