Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at Paradise Mind Physical Therapy & Wellness Center. Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist at our Newark center, you will work primarily onsite in a vibrant rehabilitation facility surrounded by a collaborative team of two experienced physical therapists and a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet dynamic work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of new patients to establish individualized treatment plans that address their unique objectives and functional needs.
• Manage a caseload of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of therapy.
• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to enhance clients' mobility, strength, flexibility, and overall physical well-being.
• Utilize various manual therapy techniques and adaptive equipment to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Promote alternative solutions to surgical interventions by educating patients about physical wellness and preventive strategies.
• Develop and adjust fitness and wellness programs based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journeys, helping them achieve their functional goals.
• Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress comprehensively to maintain accurate health records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with orthopedic patients, many of whom have private health insurance. You will cater to a diverse demographic ranging from athletes to active seniors. Each patient will have distinct needs, and your expertise will be vital in tailoring treatment approaches to maximize their recovery potential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and be a licensed Physical Therapist eligible to practice in New Jersey.
• A clean professional record with no pending board action or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and functional exercise programming.
• Ability to understand and operate electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with preference given to candidates familiar with software such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, specifically in private practice environments, is highly desirable.
• Experience collaborating within a healthcare team, with demonstrated effectiveness in communication and problem-resolution.
• Knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation tools and techniques to enhance patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
