Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to function effectively from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a collaborative connection with our multidisciplinary team. While your primary hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we understand that patient needs may necessitate some variation in your schedule, which we aim to accommodate to deliver the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ unique trauma histories, ensuring tailored and effective treatment planning.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, drawing upon evidence-based methodologies.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address patients’ specific needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma narratives, develop effective coping strategies, and foster a sense of healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals within our integrated care model, ensuring comprehensive support for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating sensitivity and prompt action.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources to encourage informed participation in their treatment.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring integrity in patient care.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and learning to enhance trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research in trauma therapy and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position specifically targets individuals who have experienced trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Our goal is to create a safe therapeutic space where clients feel supported while they explore and heal from their past experiences. You will work with a diverse client base, ensuring culturally competent care that respects and understands the unique challenges each individual faces.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Tennessee is essential.

• Considerable knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment modalities is necessary for success in this role.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications, enabling efficient practice management.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma victims and implementing trauma-focused therapies is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations, utilizing effective problem-solving strategies to meet patient needs.

• Experience working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a cohesive approach to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
