Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite in our clients' homes in West Palm Beach, providing a unique therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations of pediatric patients to establish personalized treatment plans aligned with each child's unique needs and developmental goals.
• Administer direct therapeutic interventions, implementing evidence-based techniques such as trigger point therapy, to restore function and improve mobility.
• Educate and involve families in the therapy process, providing essential training on home-exercise programs and discharge planning to empower caregivers in supporting their child's recovery.
• Maintain active communication with office staff and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care across various professional disciplines.
• Document patient progress meticulously, consulting with physicians to inform on treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Address issues of pain management and work to prevent or minimize long-term disabilities through comprehensive therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients facing a variety of challenges, including developmental delays, physical disabilities, and other condition-related mobility issues. Your role will be crucial in promoting their physical abilities and facilitating their growth and independence in everyday activities. You will engage with children of diverse backgrounds and needs, fostering trusting therapeutic relationships that encourage participation and engagement in therapy.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in Florida is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctorate preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or similar setting, showcasing proficiency in pediatric therapy.
• Demonstrated expertise in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong understanding of relevant anatomical and physiological concepts.
• An ability to adapt therapeutic interventions to suit the individual needs of pediatric patients, demonstrating empathy and patience.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and interdisciplinary collaboration is highly advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically in a pediatric home care setting is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits
