Work Environment

This physical therapist role is set in a dynamic home care environment, providing you with the unique opportunity to offer care directly in patients' homes. This approach allows for personalized attention and tailored treatment plans that account for the individual circumstances of each patient. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a stable work-life balance while delivering high-quality therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with orthopedic injuries or post-surgical conditions, utilizing standardized assessment tools and techniques.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that employ a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities to optimize recovery.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies to ensure goals are met effectively.
• Provide education to patients regarding rehabilitation techniques, preventive measures, and the execution of home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive care and seamless patient management.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population, focusing on individuals with orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgery, injuries, and chronic pain issues. Many patients may also be dealing with age-related musculoskeletal disorders. This role requires a compassionate approach, recognizing the unique challenges faced by each individual, and providing tailored support to aid in their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited educational institution.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in orthopedic settings, with a strong grasp of assessment and treatment techniques essential for patient recovery.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing patient-centered care plans and implementing effective physical therapy intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy and familiarity with home health practices is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
