Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Bayberry, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with your fellow therapists and nursing staff.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality therapy and assess patient progress.
• Educating patients and their families about therapeutic practices, expected outcomes, and how to support recovery at home.
• Participating in Care Plan Meetings to share insights and updates regarding patient rehabilitation progress.
• Completing daily documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
• Using advanced technology and therapeutic tools, such as therapeutic ultrasound and electrical stimulation units, to assist in patient rehabilitation.
• Maintaining a clear line of communication with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure effective continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Bayberry, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including elderly individuals recovering from surgeries, adults with sports-related injuries, and patients undergoing rehabilitation for chronic conditions. This role requires a compassionate understanding of each patient's unique needs, along with the insight to customize therapy approaches that resonate with their personal health goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal communication and patient engagement skills.
• A commitment to clinical excellence and high ethical standards.
• Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
• High energy and a proactive attitude toward patient care and professional development.

Preferred Experience

While previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred, it is not mandatory. We welcome creative thinkers who bring fresh ideas and methodologies to enhance patient outcomes. Candidates who have familiarity with federal, state, and governing agency regulations in rehabilitation will have added advantages.

Compensation and Benefits

Bayberry offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health and wellness of our employees.
