Work Environment

This position is performed onsite at our modern outpatient facility in Matawan, NJ, designed to provide a comfortable and inviting setting for our patients. You will work closely with fellow physical therapists and support staff, leveraging collaborative practices to deliver optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries using a variety of treatment methods, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and the application of physical modalities.
• Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in alignment with each patient's therapeutic goals; continuously assess and modify these plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document and track each patient's treatment progress meticulously, ensuring accurate record-keeping in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and techniques for maintaining mobility and health outside of therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care coordination and contribute to overall organizational goals.
• Stay current with industry practices by attending workshops, engaging in peer discussions, and participating in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in documentation software and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work autonomously while also being flexible and responsive to the needs of your team and patients.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, though recent graduates with relevant clinical internships will also be considered.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy with knowledge of treatment protocols for various conditions will be advantageous.
