Position Overview

Wellness Works Physical Therapy, PC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our outpatient clinic in Keansburg, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will work full-time in our patient-centered facility, providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to a diverse client population. This position offers an annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.

Work Environment

The physical therapist will operate primarily onsite at our outpatient office in Keansburg, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function following patient-specific care plans.
• Evaluate clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests and develop tailored rehabilitation strategies that enhance autonomy and independence.
• Supervise and support physical therapy assistants in providing effective therapy sessions, ensuring the implementation of best practices as per state regulations.
• Conduct home assessments to recommend adaptations that improve clients' living environments, promoting their ability to perform daily activities.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including manual exercises, traction, and the use of therapeutic modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Engage with clients and their families, educating them about therapy devices and guiding them through their rehabilitation programs.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team discussions to create and adjust comprehensive care plans based on ongoing patient assessments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with facility protocols.
• Monitor and report any significant changes in clients' conditions to physicians and case managers, contributing to informed adjustments to treatment plans.
• Foster a positive therapeutic environment by motivating clients and instilling confidence in their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes in rehabilitation, and elderly patients requiring assistance to regain mobility. Our focus is on personalized care, ensuring that treatment plans align with each patient's unique circumstances, goals, and potential for recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current and valid PT license in good standing in New Jersey.
• One year of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in outpatient or home healthcare settings.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and a collaborative team approach.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in clinical documentation practices.
• Background in conducting home evaluations for rehabilitation services.
