Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ mental health needs, including screenings and evaluations, to formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Design and implement individualized and group therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based methodologies to address specific challenges faced by each student.
• Collaborate with educators and school personnel to identify at-risk students, developing strategies for intervention and support to enhance emotional and academic outcomes.
• Engage in family consultations to provide education about mental health issues, fostering a supportive home environment conducive to recovery and resilience.
• Document client progress meticulously, adhering to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines to ensure confidentiality and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health support to children and adolescents in a school setting, addressing a broad array of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and social skills deficits. You will be instrumental in helping students cope with the emotional aspects of their academic experiences, promoting both their mental health and overall school performance.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid and current professional license as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices particularly tailored for youth.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with adolescents and effectively communicate with their families and caregivers.

Preferred Experience

We value candidates with specialized training in child and adolescent mental health issues, as well as those who have practical experience working in educational settings or community mental health. An understanding of school policies and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams will be advantageous.

• Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
