Work Environment

As part of a virtual health care team, you will conduct therapy sessions and assessments online, utilizing telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Empower Well Health Care Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and providing crisis intervention for patients, focusing on emotional and behavioral issues.
• Collaborating with physicians to communicate patient progress, needs, and concerns, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Maintaining thorough and timely documentation, including clinical notes and progress reports, in accordance with departmental policies.
• Working alongside healthcare team members to develop comprehensive treatment and discharge plans based on psychosocial assessments.
• Building and nurturing professional relationships with community resource groups and representing Empower Well at meetings addressing social needs of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on providing mental health support primarily within a school environment. You will work with students facing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges, often exacerbated by the stresses of academic life. Your interventions aim not only to address immediate mental health concerns but also to foster resilience and coping strategies that benefit students throughout their lives. By engaging with the school community, you will be integral to creating an atmosphere that promotes mental well-being and academic success.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Active independent licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably working with adolescents.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in school-based mental health services, crisis intervention, and familiarity with teletherapy practices will be advantageous. Additionally, proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong understanding of best practices in outpatient mental health care will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
