Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to craft individualized therapy plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored towards individuals, families, couples, and groups, utilizing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care, engaging with social workers, psychiatrists, and other health professionals in managing client cases.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical records, adhering to legal, ethical, and procedural standards in mental health care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training sessions, and continuous education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as an LPC will focus on serving a diverse clientele that includes individuals with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. Steps to Heal aims to reach those who may have limited access to care, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence and sensitivity in addressing the unique backgrounds and needs of our clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience is necessary, with a preference for clinical settings.
• A thorough understanding of legal and ethical practices in mental health.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment.
• Experience in delivering group therapy sessions.
• Significant engagement with evidence-based practices and methodologies in therapeutic approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitively set at USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
