Work Environment\n

As a remote-based therapist within our organization, you will have the flexibility to conduct sessions from your home office while maintaining a dynamic connection with your clients. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team that includes behavioral analysts, social workers, and educators. This collaborative approach ensures comprehensive care and promotes the best outcomes for the clients we serve.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions at clients’ homes or via telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility and comfort for clients and their families.

• Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving coping skills, anger management, and social skills development while addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions and aggression.

• Work with both adolescents and caregivers to enhance their decision-making abilities, enabling families to better manage behavioral challenges in their home environment.
\n
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to support client tracking and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and relevant community resources, contributing your insights and recommendations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years old, particularly those who experience developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. You will play a crucial role in delivering specialized in-community therapy, thus directly impacting the quality of care and outcomes for these young individuals and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred to enhance service delivery.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during the after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with flexibility for weekend appointments.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Experience providing positive behavior support strategies to families.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle, as travel to client locations may be required.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and security of all clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
