Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, understanding their individual needs to create personalized treatment plans.
• Administer skilled therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and various modalities, while providing empathetic support.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans when necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists—ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for preventing injuries.
• Implement safety measures and fall prevention programs to mitigate risks within the assisted living community we serve.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate evidence-based approaches in care.
• Uphold ethical standards in practice, ensuring confidentiality and a commitment to the highest level of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the State of New Jersey is required.
• Experience in geriatric therapy is preferred; however, new graduates with enthusiasm for working with elderly patients are also encouraged to apply.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for effective engagement with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000, commensurate with experience.
