Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate each patient’s trauma history and mental health status.

• Craft individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient, focusing on their unique needs and goals for trauma recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster a supportive community.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support when required, ensuring safe and immediate assistance for those experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for further support.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with health records management.

• Engage in continuous learning by participating in professional development activities and staying updated on the latest research in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve providing a safe and nurturing environment where patients are encouraged to confront their challenges and build resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A valid Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong knowledge base regarding trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
