Motion in Mind Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trauma-Informed Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Glendale, Arizona. This full-time position allows for a remote work setting while primarily serving patients in an outpatient office environment. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing specialized support to individuals navigating the challenges of trauma recovery, with a focus on specific disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique blend of remote and outpatient work, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while ensuring you are fully engaged with your patients. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists and healthcare staff, to ensure comprehensive care for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma history and guide treatment planning.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and enhance clients’ resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, acquire coping mechanisms, and foster emotional recovery.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies while sharing resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to ensure adherence to best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with individuals who have experienced various levels of trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in not only assisting them through their recovery journey but also empowering them to reclaim their lives and overcome the effects of trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and techniques, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• The capability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
\n
• Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications to document patient interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
