Physical Therapist – Orthopedic Outpatient | Edison, NJ

Location: Edison, NJ

Position: Full-Time Physical Therapist (PT)

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Patient Volume: Approximately 1–2 patients per hour

Setting: Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapy Office

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist in Edison, NJ to provide outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation for patients recovering from injury, surgery, and musculoskeletal conditions.

In this role, you will evaluate physical limitations, establish appropriate rehabilitation goals, and provide treatment aimed at improving strength, mobility, movement, and overall function. You will manage patients throughout their course of care and adjust treatment based on clinical progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations
• Identify movement, strength, mobility, and functional limitations
• Develop individualized plans of care
• Provide therapeutic exercise and orthopedic rehabilitation
• Utilize manual therapy techniques when clinically appropriate
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and safe activity
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress when necessary
• Support appropriate discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist License
• DPT Degree or MSPT Degree
• Previous outpatient physical therapy experience
• Experience treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
