Key Responsibilities

• Assess clients with musculoskeletal issues through comprehensive diagnostic tests and evaluations to establish effective treatment plans.
• Direct physical therapy interventions aimed at reducing pain, enhancing movement, and preventing further disability, while tracking patient progress as noted in their care plans.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to the devised treatment programs and quality standards.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., traction, massage) as specified in patients' individualized plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop holistic care strategies and ensure continuity in treatment approaches.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes meticulously for maintaining clinical records and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation protocols and the use of assistive devices, fostering their independence and understanding of the healing process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating from injuries. You will work closely with clients of all ages, guiding them through their rehabilitation journeys, which may include strengthening exercises, functional training, and adaptive therapies tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid, unrestricted PT license in Florida.
