Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's history and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Administer individual and group therapy sessions to guide patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and assistance during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, significant coping strategies, and available resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards and contribute to case notes and team discussions.
\n
• Engage in ongoing learning through case consultations and attendance at workshops to remain knowledgeable about the latest research and therapeutic techniques in trauma care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to clients suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide a nurturing presence, offering compassionate support as clients navigate their personal recovery journeys. The diverse population you will serve highlights the importance of cultural competence and sensitivity in every interaction.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

• A firm understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapy environment.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.
\n
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in clinical mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.
