Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible work environment with the majority of consultations conducted remotely. However, you will also have the opportunity to engage with patients in our outpatient office setting. We offer flexible scheduling from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, ensuring that you can balance both professional and personal commitments effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients’ history of trauma and tailor appropriate treatment plans.

• Creating and implementing individualized treatment strategies that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for all patients.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention in trauma-related emergencies, assessing immediate needs, and implementing safe, supportive actions.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge for recovery.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings focused on enhancing trauma-informed practices and sharing insights on patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals dealing with a range of trauma-related disorders. Our clients include adolescents, adults, and couples seeking to navigate their past experiences and develop healthier coping strategies. Your role will be pivotal in helping them achieve emotional healing and stability.

Qualifications\n

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LPC license in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be advantageous:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.
