Divine & Associates Children's Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. This full-time position will allow you to provide a mix of telehealth and face-to-face therapy sessions for clients from the comfort of your own home, while also working in our outpatient office as needed. With a salary range of USD 70,000 – 110,000 per year, plus a sign-on bonus, this role is designed for professionals who are eager to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and families.

Work Environment\n

The LPC role operates primarily in a remote setting, which allows for flexibility in your schedule as you work with clients. However, you will also have the option to work from our outpatient office located in Plano, Texas. Our practice is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing ample opportunity to accommodate a diverse patient population. You will be part of a dynamic team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals dedicated to providing comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ trauma histories and formulate suitable treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions and activities to assist clients in processing trauma and cultivating coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies to support clients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation to meet legal and ethical standards of practice.
\n
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance clinical effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and families who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to emotional, physical, and psychological trauma. Many of our clients struggle with complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression, requiring sensitive and skilled therapeutic approaches. You will have the opportunity to make a profound impact by assisting clients in processing their experiences, rebuilding their lives, and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment practices.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Experience providing therapy to couples, as we are looking for behavioral health generalists who are open to expanding their skill set.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of trauma-informed care.
