The position offers a flexible remote work setting, providing you with the ability to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a work-life balance. Despite working remotely, you will be an integral part of a supportive team that values collaboration and professional growth. Our clinic operates from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, allowing for a wide range of scheduling options to accommodate our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma history and tailor appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and enhancing clients' coping skills.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to process their trauma and promote healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic care for each client.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available coping mechanisms while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to continuously enhance trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at One Step Forward Recovery & Counseling PC, you will work predominantly with individuals who have experienced trauma, including adults and adolescents from varied backgrounds. The role demands a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to implement effective, individualized treatment approaches that foster healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPC in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations, maintaining a calm demeanor.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in trauma-informed care.

• Experience with couples counseling is highly desirable, with training provided for those willing to expand their scope.

• A demonstrated commitment to completing documentation and notes within 24 hours, exemplifying professionalism and accountability.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
