Divine & Associates Children's Health Care System is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our compassionate team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while first engaging with clients at our outpatient office located in Edison, New Jersey. The LPC will play a pivotal role in delivering a combination of telehealth and face-to-face counseling sessions aimed at supporting children and families navigating trauma and mental health challenges.

Work Environment\n

This remote role provides the unique opportunity to balance professional obligations with a flexible schedule. Although primarily remote, you will have the chance to engage in face-to-face sessions within our outpatient office, providing a hybrid model that meets diverse client needs. Our office is available for appointments from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, offering both you and your clients enhanced accessibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

The LPC will have varied responsibilities that focus on trauma-informed care and mental health treatment, including:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify trauma histories and develop personalized treatment approaches.
\n
• Designing and executing individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and build resilience.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to promote healing and empower clients in their coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated care pathways.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during emergency situations related to trauma.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses and available resources to aid in their journey towards recovery.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, confidential, and thorough documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.

• Participating in ongoing professional development and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children and their families, many of whom have experienced significant trauma or mental health challenges. You will actively engage with a motivated patient population, supporting them in processing their experiences and developing effective coping mechanisms. Building trusting relationships with clients is crucial as they navigate their journeys toward healing.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for the position, the following qualifications are required:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid LPC licensure in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and the latest trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach toward clients.
\n
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage high-stress situations while providing support.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing trauma-focused therapies.
\n
• Experience working with a diverse clientele, including couples, which we can support through training.
\n
• A strong character with qualities such as integrity, adaptability, and commitment to high-quality care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Our competitive salary range offers annual earnings between USD 70,000 and 110,000, commensurate with experience. Additional compensation benefits include:
