This position offers a remote work setting, allowing flexibility and work-life balance while serving an outpatient population. The structure of our practice enables you to engage in trauma therapy through teletherapy sessions while also meeting clients face-to-face at our El Paso office. This hybrid model accommodates a variety of client needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ backgrounds and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate healing, help clients process their experiences, and teach coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster understanding and support.
\n
• Document all clinical interactions accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development, case consultations, and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are often seeking support for various trauma-related issues, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Our practice cultivates a “motivated” patient population seeking growth and healing, providing you with the opportunity to implement your therapeutic skills effectively within a supportive environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, including methods like EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting compassion and a non-judgmental approach while interacting with clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
