Licensed Physical Therapist - Sports Rehabilitation Specialist

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is looking for a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to enhance our team at a premier Sports Centered Orthopedic Outpatient office in Herndon, Virginia. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, which features modern treatment rooms and dedicated exercise spaces designed for optimal patient engagement and recovery. You will collaborate with a supportive team of three other physical therapists as well as physical therapy assistants, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. Our clinic promotes a positive working environment focused on teamwork, learning, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and create individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and enhancing mobility.
• Implement a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as electrical stimulation and hot packs.
• Provide one-on-one treatment sessions, typically managing a caseload of 7-8 patients per day.
• Design and develop fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's specific needs and goals.
• Work closely with athletes to address a wide range of conditions including knee pain, lower back discomfort, shoulder injuries, and elbow issues.
• Monitor patient progress throughout therapy, adjusting care plans as necessary and maintaining accurate documentation using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians and occupational therapists to ensure a cohesive treatment strategy.
• Motivate patients through encouragement and education to maximize their recovery and improve their quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on athletes and active individuals, including both recreational and competitive sports participants. You will have the chance to work with a diverse patient population experiencing a variety of orthopedic conditions. Each treatment plan is personalized to not only address injuries but to enhance performance, providing an enriching experience for you and the patients.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license for the state of Virginia.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing exercise regimens and performing manual therapy techniques.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and their families.
• Time management skills to prioritize patient care effectively.
• Familiarity with EMR software for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with athletic populations and sports-related injuries.
• Skills in developing comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 120,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
