Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, utilizing telehealth platforms to connect with clients across various locations. You will work within a supportive digital framework that allows for flexible scheduling while upholding high standards of patient care. The role is structured to accommodate a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for flexibility based on patient demand. As part of a collaborative team, you will engage in ongoing communication with colleagues to facilitate comprehensive patient management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments focused on trauma to evaluate each patient's background and needs.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients navigate their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services and support during critical psychological emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance their understanding and support systems.

• Maintain all documentation accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical standards to safeguard client confidentiality.

• Engage in regular case consultations and partake in team meetings to share knowledge and enhance collective expertise on trauma-informed care.

• Commit to continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with effects of trauma, including PTSD and related disorders. You will serve a diverse clientele, each with unique experiences and backgrounds, requiring a nuanced and empathetic approach to therapy. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, compassion, and non-judgmental attitudes.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and critical emotional interactions.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Capable of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have hands-on experience in delivering therapy to individuals with trauma, integrating both traditional and innovative modalities.
