Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and to tailor culturally sensitive treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their experiences and feelings.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated, patient-centered care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards through accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development opportunities to enhance trauma-informed care competencies.

• Stay current with research trends and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele includes individuals from varied backgrounds suffering from the impacts of traumatic experiences, including but not limited to veterans, survivors of abuse, and those facing chronic stressors. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, you will be able to sensitively handle each patient's unique narrative and aspirations for recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care principles.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, preferably with a focus on trauma recovery.

• Fluency in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and approaches.

• Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting compassion and understanding while maintaining professionalism.

• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
