Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to identify patients' trauma history and therapeutic needs.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's journey towards healing and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing creative approaches to help clients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Engage in collaborative case management with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies and support clients in crisis situations.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, promoting understanding and resilience through resource sharing.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient progress in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing training and stay abreast of the latest research in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients primarily consist of trauma survivors representing various backgrounds and experiences, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. The counselor will focus on individualized strategies that acknowledge the distinct journey of each client, fostering an environment conducive to healing and personal empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
