Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in the scenic Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Our facility is equipped with the latest tools and technologies in physical therapy, creating an optimal environment for both practitioners and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatments tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants in executing the established care plans effectively, ensuring high standards of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities through diagnostics.
• Assess patients' home environments and recommend necessary modifications to enhance their independence and rehabilitation.
• Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with physician prescriptions, actively engaging patients in therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatments including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians for any required modifications.
• Engage in the continuous development and revision of individual care plans, documenting patient progress through clinical records.
• Participate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team during case conferences, contributing to holistic treatment approaches.
• Provide education to clients and their families regarding therapy devices and comprehensive therapy programs.
• Ensure compliance with documentation and clinical data submissions per branch policy to maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct on-site functional assessments, regularly reviewing care plans to align with patient progress and available community resources.
• Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to meet the goals of Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid physical therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license.
• Strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation center or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems to enhance documentation and efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
