Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments of clients to determine their mental health status and develop individualized therapeutic plans that address their specific needs.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, to provide effective treatment.

• Deliver group therapy sessions, workshops, and one-on-one counseling, ensuring that therapeutic strategies are grounded in evidence-based practices.

• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and client progress in compliance with clinical standards and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals to discuss client care and holistic treatment approaches that enhance overall patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on assisting clients dealing with a wide array of mental health issues including, but not limited to, substance abuse, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. You will engage with diverse clients, offering empathetic support and strategic interventions that empower them to navigate their challenges and improve their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey is essential.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling is mandatory.
