Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Utilizing evidence-based mental health therapy techniques and interventions to effectively treat individuals and families dealing with various emotional and behavioral disorders.

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing initial discharge plans tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Facilitating individual, group, or family therapy sessions in alignment with the client's treatment goals, ensuring a collaborative approach throughout the process.

• Preparing initial treatment plans based on assessment findings, coordinating any additional services required, and revising treatment plans when necessary.

• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions as per facility and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

• Managing an assigned caseload and participating in regular treatment team meetings to collaborate on care strategies with colleagues.

• Demonstrating a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards all clients, addressing any unmet needs or concerns proactively.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related human services field.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in working with diverse populations, including experience across the lifespan with both individuals and families.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with at least two years of relevant professional experience will be given preference. Experience delivering therapy in outpatient settings and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities will be advantageous in this role.
