Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that take into account the unique experiences and backgrounds of each patient, allowing for tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions that align with individual patient needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems therapy.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to express themselves and work on their mental health objectives.

• Collaborate with colleagues—including psychiatrists and social workers—to create a well-rounded care plan that addresses both mental health and lifestyle factors.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and resources to clients in distress during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health topics, treatment modalities, and local resources to empower them in their wellness journey.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending case conferences and cultural competency trainings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client base that includes individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, with a strong focus on cultural competence.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy with a focus on culturally responsive approaches.

• Robust crisis intervention skills, paired with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, enhancing the efficiency of documentation procedures.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
