Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Empower Care, your role will encompass a variety of essential functions aimed at improving patient outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of individuals, adolescents, families, and groups to understand their mental health needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), designed to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

• Maintain ongoing communication with the clinical team regarding patient assessments, treatment plans, and interdisciplinary care approach via regular documentation and patient rounds.

• Provide case management services, facilitating collaboration between patients and other healthcare providers to ensure a well-rounded and effective treatment experience.

• Complete timely and ethical documentation required for patient care management within the department’s guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, ranging from children to elderly clients, who are seeking help with various mental health issues. You will engage with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological challenges. Your empathetic approach will ensure that each client feels recognized and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

• A current and valid license as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with advanced degrees preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or related settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates will have experience specifically in outpatient mental health services and familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT. A track record of effective patient engagement and strong skills in documentation and communication will set you apart.

Compensation and Benefits\n
