Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical, functional, and psychological needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize diverse modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced therapeutic technologies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physicians, and nurses, to deliver integrated care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on the principles of safe movement and rehabilitation exercises to promote independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and communication with other providers in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about the benefits of physical therapy and injury prevention.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include a diverse range of individuals, from children to seniors, who are dealing with musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. As a physical therapist at Viability, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and treating these patients, using a holistic approach tailored to their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
