Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and respond to student support referrals received through Maxient, updating records as necessary to maintain accurate documentation.

• Develop and uphold confidential patient records that adhere to applicable standards of practice and comply with federal and state regulations.
\n
• Design and lead professional development workshops for students, faculty, and staff focusing on crucial mental health topics and resources available within our organization.
\n
• Provide direct consultation services to students and faculty, addressing mental health concerns and offering best practices for supporting individuals facing psychological challenges.
\n
• Plan, implement, and facilitate mental health programs and outreach events aimed at enhancing wellness and educational success among students.
\n
• Evaluate, assess, and engage with students through individual and group counseling sessions to address a wide array of health-related issues, including mental health and substance abuse.

• Respond to immediate crises by providing drop-in counseling services, performing crisis interventions and assessments when warranted.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT license in California is required. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants with an associate license, as they are not billable through Medicare.

• Proficiency in using various software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, is essential.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple patient cases effectively.
\n
• Self-directed and capable of working autonomously while upholding professional clinical standards.
\n
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology (Clinical or Counseling), Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing counseling services to geriatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• Annual salary for full-time licensed counselors ranges from $80,000 to $122,000, while part-time counselors can expect to earn between $50,000 and $70,000.
