Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health conditions and formulate effective treatment plans. Provide individual therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness practices, customizing approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients. Set collaborative therapeutic goals with clients, regularly reviewing and adjusting goals and treatment strategies to enhance their progress and outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms proficiently to offer virtual support, providing a flexible, accessible option for clients who might struggle to attend traditional face-to-face sessions. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, maintaining the integrity of patient confidentiality. Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions, thus continually enhancing your clinical skills and staying updated on industry best practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clinic serves a diverse client population, including adults, adolescents, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. As a mental health counselor at Vibrant Health Counseling Center, you will work closely with clients to cultivate resilience and facilitate personal empowerment, actively contributing to their mental health improvement and overall quality of life. Qualifications A valid and current license in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Exceptional communication skills combined with strong interpersonal abilities to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach toward clients’ experiences and circumstances. Proficient organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle caseloads and maintain administrative duties. Preferred Experience Experience practicing in a telehealth setting, with familiarity using teletherapy platforms and technologies. Prior experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment, providing mental health services to marginalized populations. Specialized training in trauma-informed care or experience working with clients dealing with complex trauma.
