Position Overview

Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation center located in the beautiful Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on thorough assessments and in alignment with physician prescriptions.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, corrective exercises, and modalities that target pain relief and functional improvement.
• Evaluate patients through diagnostic assessments, analyzing muscle strength, joint stability, and functional performance.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of therapy sessions, ensuring adherence to the prescribed treatment regimen.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, participating in case conferences to refine treatment plans and strategies for patient care.
• Conduct home evaluations to assess environmental factors that affect patient independence, providing practical recommendations for modifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment modifications, and clinical findings as part of comprehensive care plans.
• Engage in professional development activities and remain current with orthopedic physical therapy advancements, best practices, and industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, and rehabilitating after injuries. You will work with patients across various age groups, tailoring your approach to meet the specific rehabilitation needs of each individual, while fostering a supportive and empowering environment that encourages patient engagement and autonomy.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a required qualification.
• Must possess a valid PT license in the State of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience, ideally in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification is essential for patient safety.
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance are necessary for potential home evaluations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with patients in a rehabilitation center is preferred.
• Background in developing treatment protocols and leading effective therapy plans.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems for efficient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
