Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, designed to provide a conducive atmosphere for patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations for personal injury patients, assessing needs and determining appropriate intervention strategies.
• Prescribe medications, including NSAIDs, muscle relaxers, and medicated patches, ensuring optimal pain management tailored to individual patient needs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools effectively, ordering necessary MRI scans and interpreting results to inform treatment plans.
• Engage with patients through telehealth platforms for follow-up consultations, providing accessible care options.
• Facilitate referrals to physical therapy and specialty services, particularly in pain management, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing advanced electronic health record systems to enhance patient data integrity.
• Work cooperatively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, participate in case discussions, and share insights on improving treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PA will predominantly care for patients dealing with acute and chronic pain management issues, personal injuries, and post-surgical recovery. Our facility services a broad demographic, including individuals from diverse backgrounds with varying healthcare needs. The role demands sensitivity, empathy, and excellent communication skills to foster trusting relationships with patients.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant by a nationally recognized certifying organization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in medical documentation practices and electronic health records.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, specifically in pain management or related clinical settings, is highly preferred.
• Experience in working within a surgical environment is advantageous and will be considered a significant asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Top Care Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
