Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility in how and where you work, although some attendance at our outpatient office may be required for team-related events. Our operation hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with opportunities for some schedule flexibility to accommodate patient needs. You will be joining a collaborative team that values open communication, cultural competency, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ unique backgrounds and experiences.

• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of each patient.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to address a wide range of mental health concerns, promoting resilience and emotional well-being.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide essential crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that patients receive the immediate care they need.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health topics, treatments, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with all ethical and legal standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and tracking purposes.

• Engage actively in case conferences and team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care.

• Participate in training sessions focused on enhancing cultural competency and staying abreast of current research and best practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting individuals who come from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including marginalized communities, immigrants facing acculturation challenges, and LGBTQ+ populations looking for safe and affirming mental health resources. By providing therapy that recognizes and respects each patient’s cultural identity, you play a crucial role in removing barriers to effective mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a commitment to understanding cultural dimensions of therapy.
\n
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy in a way that is responsive to the cultural needs of patients.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills, enabling you to maintain composure in challenging or high-pressure situations.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with a proven track record of building trusting relationships with diverse populations.
\n
• Competence with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n
• A strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

• A collaborative spirit that thrives in a multidisciplinary team setting, contributing positively to shared goals.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a multicultural outpatient setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
