Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Remote Telehealth Position

This full-time position plays a crucial role in providing specialized therapeutic services to individuals distressed by trauma. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, facilitating a flexible work-life balance while providing care through a telehealth platform. You will engage with clients via video sessions, which allows for a more accessible and comfortable environment for healing. The work schedule primarily consists of Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. You will collaborate with a supportive network of colleagues including licensed psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, ensuring our clients receive the integrated care they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather comprehensive patient histories and identify effective treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and build resilience, ensuring each patient's unique needs are met.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote overall mental well-being.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to streamline patient care, leading to improved treatment outcomes.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that clients feel safe and supported.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring client privacy and compliance.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities that enhance your trauma-informed care delivery.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve your therapeutic strategies and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By employing trauma-informed care, you will cater to clients from diverse backgrounds, who may express their needs and distress in varying ways. Your empathetic approach will be essential in building a trusting therapeutic relationship, vital for effective treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Expertise in trauma-related disorders and a strong grasp of trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital tools needed to facilitate remote therapy.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health setting or trauma-focused practice.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that drive measurable outcomes in client care.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations and help others do the same.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
