Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations during preliminary interviews, documenting findings and formulating detailed treatment plans.

• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques to evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and mental health, ensuring tailored approaches are implemented.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery strategies for diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions—both individual and group—to promote dialogue and healing, leveraging personal and clinical insights to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and implementing evidence-based practices to support effective recovery.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to design integrated intervention strategies.
\n
• Manage client referrals effectively, maintaining communication with necessary external healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers to assist them in navigating and managing complex mental health challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients facing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictive disorders. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and socio-economic statuses. Your expertise will help shape the treatment landscape, as you engage with clients who are eager for support in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to manage client documentation and communication.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Working knowledge of or experience with addiction disorders and co-occurring health issues.
\n
• Familiarity with the standards and best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), as well as the pharmacological effects of commonly prescribed medications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside the ability to engage empathetically with clients.
\n
• A deep understanding of interpersonal dynamics, contributing to positive therapeutic relationships.
