This role will be performed remotely, allowing for flexibility while engaging directly with students through virtual therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of students.

• Perform initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment plans appropriately.

• Create and document individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments to address substance use and mental health challenges.
\n
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing relevant insights to improve overall treatment strategies.
\n
• Supervise and mentor Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and/or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, providing guidance and support in therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is working with youths experiencing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our clients often face challenges stemming from complex familial and social dynamics. As a therapist, you will be instrumental in fostering a safe space for these individuals, allowing them to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• Active and valid license in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• Minimum of three years of experience in a relevant mental health role.
\n
• Experience working with adolescent populations and understanding their unique mental health needs.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience with a specialization in mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
\n
• A proven track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes in working with mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
