The Allied Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will play an essential role in providing professional mental health care to our clients through telehealth services. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify client needs, documenting findings meticulously from initial assessments to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop detailed and personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing client-specific insights to guide your approach.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to suit various contexts and client dynamics.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment plan, using evidence-based methods to inform any necessary adjustments.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses—to create cohesive and comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Engage in regular follow-ups with clients transitioning to or from hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care and immediate support.
\n
• Identify and address barriers to recovery, working proactively to mitigate issues that may impede client progress.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members of clients, helping them better understand mental health challenges and fostering a collaborative environment focused on recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients comprise a diverse population with varying mental health needs, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and relationship issues. You will work with individuals from all walks of life, developing cultural competency and adapting your approach to meet the unique needs and backgrounds of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• An achievement of a passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory.
\n
• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting is essential.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience supporting clients with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacological interventions prescribed by other medical professionals and how they interact with mental health conditions.
\n
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills that promote effective dialogue with clients and members of the healthcare team.
\n
• An empathetic and patient-centered approach, characterized by strong interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with the added incentive of a sign-on bonus.
