Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the needs of children and adolescents through interviews, observations, and standardized testing.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address a diverse range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at guiding parents and caregivers in fostering a supportive home environment.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care tailored to each young individual.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for young clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and local community resources for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records adhering strictly to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to promote continuous improvement in care delivery.

• Stay updated on current research, trends, and best practices in the fields of child and adolescent psychiatry to ensure innovative treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on providing mental health services to children and adolescents aged 5-18. The therapist will address various psychological issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Working with this demographic requires not only clinical expertise but also empathy and the ability to effectively engage young clients in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in Arizona as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a clinical setting focused on children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
