Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating and treating patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery, using modalities tailored to individual needs.
• Establishing comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a variety of techniques, including therapeutic exercises, hands-on therapy, and innovative equipment to alleviate pain and promote mobility.
• Tracking and documenting patient progress meticulously to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engaging in ongoing patient evaluations to redefine therapeutic goals and develop new strategies to enhance rehabilitation.
• Recommending and fitting assistive devices that enable patients to manage self-care and mobility more effectively.
• Providing educational training to patients and their caregivers regarding the use of assistive devices and physical therapy procedures, ensuring they understand their role in the recovery process.
• Staying current in your professional knowledge by participating in workshops, conferences, and networking with peers, fostering continuous improvement and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily benefit a diverse clientele, from children recovering from sports injuries to older adults managing chronic conditions or post-surgical rehabilitation. Your role involves working closely with each patient to understand their unique challenges and tailoring interventions to help them achieve their optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid license to practice as a DPT in the State of Florida.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills to maintain accurate patient records.
• A flexible and agile approach that allows you to adapt to the diverse needs of patients.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
