Work Environment

In our facility, you will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere, working alongside two other skilled physical therapists, administrative staff, and various healthcare professionals. Our outpatient office spans 5,000 square feet, designed to create an optimal environment for rehabilitation and recovery. The team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, allowing flexible working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, making it convenient to balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of new patients and establish personalized treatment plans focusing on their specific goals and needs.
• Manage and treat one patient every 40 minutes, ensuring you provide high-quality care and support throughout each session.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and coordination in patients.
• Develop comprehensive care plans, outlining specific exercises and rehabilitation methods, while also integrating patient feedback to refine approaches.
• Empower patients by delivering motivational support during treatments, encouraging them to achieve their recovery objectives.
• Document patient progress meticulously using our EMR system, Athena Health, to maintain precise records of treatments and outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other health professionals, to provide well-rounded care for our patients.
• Engage in consistent evaluations of patient progress, communicating effectively with patients to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Promote preventative care strategies to enhance patients' overall wellness and diminish the need for more invasive interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves commercial insurance patients and private pay clients. You will work closely with a diverse group of individuals, ranging from athletes aiming to improve their performance, to everyday patients seeking rehabilitation following injury or surgery. This varied patient population allows you to apply a broad array of treatment strategies, thus ensuring that you can tailor your methods based on individual response and recovery timelines.

Qualifications

• A valid Virginia State license to practice Physical Therapy.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; graduates with a Master's or Doctorate level degree in Physical Therapy are preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating proficiency in handling diverse orthopedic cases.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and encourage their involvement in the rehabilitation process.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest treatment practices and methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of experience working specifically with orthopedic patients in an outpatient clinic.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Athena Health, is advantageous.
• Proven track record of successfully managing patient caseloads while delivering exceptional care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
