Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient mobility and function, devising tailored treatment plans for those with musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
• Implement evidence-based interventions that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities, continuously monitoring progress and adjusting plans based on patient response.
• Guide patients through hands-on therapy sessions while educating them about exercises, daily activities, and pain management practices to bolster their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, documenting evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in collaborative meetings with healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to rehabilitation, tailoring interventions as part of an integrated patient care plan.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements in physical therapy practices, attending workshops and training to enhance your skill set and provide the best care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse clientele seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. Patients may range from athletes recovering from injuries to elderly individuals rehabilitating post-surgery. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping each patient achieve their rehabilitation goals, focusing on restoring movement, strength, and overall performance.

Qualifications

• A valid Virginia Physical Therapist License in good standing with the state board is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; advanced degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate are preferred.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with patients and facilitating teamwork.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and rehabilitation outcomes.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience is desired, we encourage new graduates to apply. Experience in outpatient therapy settings is preferred, as well as familiarity with electronic health record systems. CPR/BLS certification is also required, or you must be willing to obtain it upon employment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based incentives.
