Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring an individualized approach to care.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client healing.

• Educate and empower clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care practices.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other medical professionals to provide integrated care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential client documentation.

• Participate in ongoing training, case discussions, and professional development initiatives to further enhance therapeutic skills.

• Advocate for clients' rights and needs, particularly in addressing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population primarily includes individuals experiencing various mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additionally, we support vulnerable groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. The role of LMFT is fundamental in guiding these clients toward recovery and improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is a must.
